Nikki's Maternity Session

A lifetime ago, I met Nikki in college. We fumbled our way through art classes (her being much better than me of course as I have no drawing skills!) and developed a friendship along the way. Fast forward a certain amount of years, and here we both are all grown up and being adults. Nikki has not only traveled the world, but has discovered her happy place in life and found an amazing individual, Ryan, to share it with as they plan to welcome a baby girl in the next few weeks! Once she announced her pregnancy I immediately offered to do a shoot because I knew I wanted to capture this amazing time in her life. I'm so glad we got the chance to reconnect, and for the most amazing circumstance! Every shoot has the potential to come with challenges, and this was no different. We fought against crazy weather throughout the whole month of March, trying to schedule our session around freezing days and finally settled on one shortly after a snowstorm. Then last minute her fiancee was not able to make it as they were selling their house and he needed to take care of things there. Nikki and I aren't ones to give up and made the most of our situation, resulting in some AMAZING images! Best of luck to Nikki and Ryan on their next lifelong adventure!
